Happy Holidays to all Wekiva Cove Residents.
Posted on Thursday, December 03 @ 16:51:01 CST by admin

Announcements howard writes "I wanted to let you all know how well our “Wekiva Cove Holiday Donation Drive” went.

As of today, we have donated 5 full boxes of sundry/toiletry items, food stuffs, snacks, treats, envelopes, candy, cell phones, books–novel and puzzles, drinks, meal items, etc. We even received Holiday decorations and a large card that were handmade and signed by our Wekiva Cove youth.

All of our donations were delivered personally to Leesburg. The donations went to an organization that puts together Gift Boxes/Stockings for our troops. The name of the organization is: OPERATION SHOE BOX. You can view this organization online at: www.operationshoebox.com.

We also had enough supplies to send a box of mixed items to S Sgt. Steven Novak stationed in South Korea. Steven is the son of Ralph and Jan Novak who live here in Wekiva Cove.

I know that the soldiers who receive our donated items are grateful for your show of support and caring.

I would personally like to thank all of you as well. It is heartwarming to see how much was donated and the notes you sent with those items. May you all be blessed with a magnificent Holiday Season.

    Toni Zufelt"
