    Neighborhood Watch Kick-off Meeting
Posted on Monday, March 08 @ 09:49:29 CST by admin

Announcements JerryAmes writes "If you are concerned about the recent rash of vehicle burglaries in Wekiva Cove, put Wednesday March 17th on your calendar of functions to attend.

At 7:30 PM, our Neighborhood Watch reorganizational meeting will be held at the clubhouse.

Attending will be Sheriffs Office Lt. Carey Manuel, who is the coordinator of our contracted security patrol. She will be able to speak from hands on experience patrolling our community.
As our website participation has increased, we are now able to communicate by e-mail with about two-thirds of the homes in the Cove, when important notices are needed.
However, this means that there are still over one-hundred homes that we don't have any system of quickly notifying when serious concerns arise.
With the use of a Wekiva Cove map, I have established twenty-three sections of homes in the Cove. In most sections, it is possible to view all of the other homes in that section. With 23 active volunteers willing to adopt their section as watchers, we can establish an ongoing system of communication and protection.

So, please attend this critical meeting. If you have neighbors that are not internet active, tell them about this Wednesday, March 17th important meeting.

You can help make Wekiva Cove a safer community."
